So much insanity, so little time…

As many readers know, things are unraveling across the proverbial board at a pace that is truly staggering. Trying to keep tabs on all that is happening can be very tiring. It can easily distract us from what is important. Still, for those who’d like to remain in the know, here are a few links that I use (all of which are listed on the right side of this page):

As has been stated, the principal concern ought to be spiritual health. Perfect knowledge of temporal goings-on will avail nothing if we are not mentally and spiritually healthy. Think of a man who is perfectly prepared for this or that temporal difficulty, but who is such a mess mentally and spiritually that he snaps at precisely the worst moment, rendering his temporal preparations meaningless.

Yes, we should pay attention to what is going on all throughout this ever-crazier world, especially if we are responsible for the welfare of others; however, if we find that doing so causes us to lose our peace of mind and heart, we must back off a little and take care of ourselves. Whatever we do, we must make sure to do all in our power to know ourselves and to know God, purifying our hearts and growing closer to God each and every day. All other pursuits without this are a fruitless waste of our very limited energy and time.
